amused by small things i was gone the back half of last week at a songwriting conference. the moleskine (italian, i believe, and pronounced 'molaskina') notebooks they gave attendees i found to be the ideal size and shape, with quality paper and covers. i am quite taken with them. although i realize that good paper is not where good writing comes from, the amount of enjoyment i get from carrying it around and writing in it will keep it close to me, and increase the chances that i'll add to it. when i fill it i'm going to order some more just like it. they are available in 3-packs here. Interesting to read about the history of the moleskine notebook, the famous people who have used them, etc. i am, of course, pleased to note that my enjoyment of this little book was established before i knew any of this stuff.
