Taxes Procrastinating on my taxes pays off. I did all the work on the computer a week ago, and was upset to learn I owed the Fed $530, despite our mortgage interest, other deductions. I was putting off filing them, because I just didn't want to see that money go out. Last night, however, I remembered that I had another deduction to take (beat up car I donated), and while entering it in I found a place to enter in some more charitable donation type things also. End result: I went from owing $530 to getting $200 back! And that makes me happy.
